Field trip to the Gifford Pinchot!

My class went to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest to find some stuff. I found an old cistern on a small stream, and a beautiful Tricholoma magnivelare patch. Also pictured is my collection of Gymnopus acervatus.

Way back in September

With remarkable success, we hunted Chicken of the Woods (Laetiporus conifericola) near Wynoochee Lake. We also found some pretty decent Chanterelle patches (Cantherellus formosus, and C. subalbidus). Also pictured is Lycoperdon perlatum.

We led a morel foray with Grace, Molly, and a bunch of PSA'ers. It was fun!
