November in Brookings
We took a trip over to Brookings with my father. Found some really amazing mushrooms, including Black Trumpets (Craterellus cornicopiodes), which I had been looking forward to finding for quite some time. Also found Ramaria sp., Cantharellus formosus, Hydnum repandum, Craterellus tubaeformis, Clitocybe nuda, Hypomyces lactifluorum, and Pleurocybella porrigens. Not a bad day, but I think we can do better next time!

My class spent 4 Mondays this quarter in Ocean Shores collecting for a class project. Some neat stuff I found: Cantherellus cibarius var. roseocanus (a first for me), Boletus edulis, Coprinopsis atramentaria, Coprinellus micaceus, Agaricus augustus (possibly my new favorite edible!), and Lepiota flammeatincta (which turned bright orange as I held it in my hand!).
Field trip to the Northern Oregon Coast!
My class went to a spot near Tillamook to see what was growing under the Sitka Spruce and Shore Pine... I found another amazing Matsutake (Tricholoma magnivelare) patch, as well as a Ramaria sp. lurking in the fog, many Boletus edulis, several Catathelasma imperiale that were each as big as my head (the first I'd ever seen of this giant species), blewits (Clitocybe nuda), perfect Ganoderma oregonense, and many others. Oh yeah, and the ocean and some other things were there too.
